The Washington D.C. Chapter of the IE Alumni Club officially opened December 1st, 2006. With the goal of bringing together all IE alumni currently living in the greater Washington metropolitan area, the Club was inaugurated, as appropriate, at the Taberna del Alabardero Spanish restaurant. While sharing memories of days in Madrid, participants enjoyed one of the most typical and legendary dishes of Madrid’s gastronomy, “cocido madrileño". Alumni gathered to share ideas for the future of this Club as it develops and nurtures the network of IE club members. This was a first opportunity to meet for graduates, from various Masters programmes and in numerous business sectors, who share interests and concerns, and live in the same area.
